I’ve seen this before. I don’t admire her lack of financial skill, but I do admire her brashness and ingenuity. Since the only people who send her anything are people that want to, I don’t see any problem with it. I wouldn’t send her a penny. Obviously some people will. Can you tell me what your daughter will major in? That’ll help me to decide about the tuition thing. ---

Meh. I don’t see a problem with this at all. It’s not like she’s duping people into giving her money; she is being completely honest. If I weren’t a charity case myself, I’d give a buck. Or the Breast Cancer Foundation. Or the Make-A-Wish foundation. Ya just gotta ask yourself a question. I’m with Bryan on this one, folks. Not to the degree that I would actually contribute, but I don’t see her crime. \*\* Pump Action Gerbil \*\* was marching around the house last night grumbling about what an “evil, stupid bitch” she is. I didn’t understand it and I don’t understand why any of you feel such hostility. She sure aint’ stupid, she’s managed to get $4000 in donations, and between her and the people who donated, I’d give her the props for smarts. She isn’t dishonest (assuming the site is for real and she is too), she’s completely admitting she screwed up, which lots and lots of people do. She isn’t claiming that it is anyone’s fault but her own, she isn’t blaming anyone but herself. She’s not making any shady offers, nothing. All she’s done is asked anyone who feels like it to help her get her ass out of this situation. Period. And this is \* evil? \* She’s a \*\* bitch? \*\* How does that follow? Who has she harmed? Someone said karma would get her… seems her karma is just fine. She hasn’t done anyone or anything any kind of harm. I think y’all are just having a visceral reaction and you haven’t really thought about it. Cuz if you did I think you’d realize that there is nothing wrong, evil, hurtful, dishonest or bad in any thing she’s done. Foolish, self-indulgent, yes. But who does that harm? No one that I can see. Because, she’s an idiot. Work at McDonalds, for crying out loud! Dammit, I’d like to get a decent job, and yeah, I whine about Kmart, but I don’t panhandle. There are people out there who beg who are in really serious, dire straits. She isn’t one of them. Fuck, when my dad lost his job because his boss was a fucking crook, he didn’t make up some scam, “Please give me money.” And my parents had just bought a house, had two kids in Catholic school, bills to pay and what not.
