Well, whoever did it was a member, and a member that’s been here for a while, I’d say based on the labels he applied to people. It seems like it’s somebody that doesn’t like Zotti, Tuba, and Unclebeer, has had conflict with some posters, and evidently likes others, based on the labels. Plus, it’s somebody who thinks using neat little hacks playfully is somehow ok, and cool. Someone who thinks overly much of their skill, and doesn’t quite get it that this stuff isn’t kosher. Also, the person seemed kind of pissed in the some of the names he gave people. Calling Zotti BANNED is a pretty big clue. So, we’re a looking for a somewhat immature person who thinks it’s ok to hack, but doesn’t have much skill, is or was a board member, was probably recently banned, and is not above pulling a prank for his own amusement to the great expense of others. Gee, I wonder who it could be? I give an 80% possibility to my first choice about a 15% to my second, and leave the other 5% for other. ---

Yeah, I think you’re onto something, Scylla. I’m curious. What were these labels that this idiot ascribed to folks? Whether or not they get mentioned in this thread or any other, I hope that the authorities are going over the evidence the hacker left because I’m sure s/he provided plenty of clues to track him/her down. ---

Hang no one else for my sins… The pathetic loser who pulled this crap obviously had been around the boards. He/she knew the people and the issues. And it’s probably safe to assume the putz never figured out the basics of coexistence and got banned in consequence. Yeah, yeah, speculation is irresistable in a kind of train wreck way. But this asshole has already done enough damage to everyone on the boards and speculation just compounds the fracture. Whoever did this demonstrably hates the Dope and showed utter contempt for those who find anything of value or enjoyment here. Call me Pollyanna (hell, I got compared to _Meg Ryan_ in an MPSIMS thread ::snickers:🙂 but only one person did this. Unfortunately there are a number of people who, for various reasons, couldn’t coexist here at a particular point in their lives. In simple fairness it’s wrong–and ignorant–to speculate in the absence of facts on “whodunnit”. Okay, so Pollyanna has done some speculating too. But it’s futile, unfair and _validates_ the one putz who did this. Whoever shat all over the board is seeking attention with some nifty divide-and-conquer fallout, involving detailed forensic examination of everyone who’s ever been banned. It’s unfair to everyone who DIDN’T do this and plays right into the hand of the cowardly, puerile person who did.
