Remember back when search was disabled for a while due to server issues? The 5 minute wait was the compromise solution. ---

I think **bbs2k** is saying that he’s getting that message even when he hasn’t done a search in the preceding 5 minutes. ---

Isn’t “new posts” technically a search? I remember, at the time when searches were suspended, **Siam Sam** said that he used the “new posts” function all the time and he missed having it. ---

[/QUOTE] Yes, of course, \*\*new posts \*\* is a search - find the posts since last time I looked. I hate this message: This forum requires that you wait 300 seconds before submitting another search. You have 2 seconds to wait before another search will be allowed. Why bother, just make my request wait. ---

i think he meant getting 300 seconds out of 300 seconds. you must either be real fast or something.
