I agree with that. I think people who learn Japanese should simply not use second person pronouns at all until they are relatively fluent.

I second Sage Rat’s usage.
The last thing you want to say is “me ha, kirei desu ne” which would be “your eyes are very pretty (but other parts of you may not be…)” Instead I would use ga. Then again, if you are just using this at a bar, I think she would pick up on your intent regardless
