You have the chance to become telepathic with one other person. Do you take it?

I would enable the feature, but I haven’t yet found my linkster.

Everyone who knows me expects me to screen my calls. Only the one unreasonable sister ever acts surprised.

No. There’s other things wrong with you, but that’s just a symptom.

Can you use it to learn a skill? If I could hook up with a great piano player, and learn enough to play well when I wasn’t hooked up, I might consider it.

And the other issue is – is it reversible? Can it be turned off permanently at the request of either?

One more question – if it’s reversible, can it then be repeated with others? Because if it works the way I want it to work, it could revolutionize the education system.

No way in hell. I’ve seen what goes on in my head.

Only exception would be if Jennifer Tilly agreed to be the “other”.

I would jump as this, provided the other person is my daughter. She’s almost completely non-verbal due to autism and I would love the chance to “hear” her, and to be able to communicate with her better than I think we do.

But would she ever stop slapping you?

I think it’s implicit in the OP that it can be permanently turned off, since either person can block the other one out at will. But I don’t see how the telepathy I described in the OP would help much in education, since it’s restricted to one part of persons at a time. Can you explain what you mean?

You’re thinking of Meg. Common mistake.

Sure. If you can learn with it, you hook up with someone who has a skill that you want to learn. Then you switch off with them, hook up with someone else with a different skill you want, and learn that skill. Etcetera, etcetera.

It’s somewhat vexatious when you state my opinion more succinctly than I myself, sir.

Pretend I ended with the usual blather.
