You have to pick 10 and only 10 Bob Dylan songs to listen to for the rest of your life

The gorgeous “Desolation Row” appears to be quite a favorite.

Also interesting to see quite a lot of votes for “Positively 4th Street,” which which has the handicap of not appearing on any of Dylan’s studio albums.

This is a warning for you. All insults to other members go in the Pit, not in this forum.

Okay, you’ve made your point clear after three posts in this thread. One post, made in teasing jest is understandable, but three is at the point of outright threadshitting. If you don’t like his music, stop posting in this thread.

Must they be Dylan versions, or can they be covers by other musicians? Love the songs, dislike his voice.

Go for it, plenty of us did the same. Dylan is an awesome writer and a not so great singer as we all know.

Pay In Blood
Ain’t Talkin’
'Cross The Green Mountain
Red River Shore
High Water (For Charley Patton)
Not Dark Yet
Blind Willie McTell
A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall (Great Music Experience version, from the Dignity CD Single)
Chimes Of Freedom

Lots of newer ones, really. His stuff from the last 20 years, in my opinion, is as good lyrically as his older stuff, and the performances are far better. As long as I wasn’t stuck listening to Christmas In The Heart for eternity…

Wow, no one has picked “Forever Young”
