Do you have Sears there in the Land Down Under? They start dragging them out right about now. Very disconcerting to go into a Sears store in September and see Christmas trees up and decorated, along with a couple of aisles of Christmas decorations. What’s worse are the (obviously crazy) people buying them! ---

I love the Christmas season, I love Christmas decorations, I hate that the season is over too soon so I start getting in the spirit as soon as the decorations start appearing. 🙂 Some of our stores are starting to put their decorations out already. You know Christmas isn’t all that far away when you go into a store over the Labor Day weekend and see the tree being set up and decorated. Frankly, I think we should all boycott any store that puts up Christmas decorations prior to December 1 and/or plays Christmas music over the intercom prior to December 22nd (what the heck, give 'em three days to torture us). ---

A number of my friends are part of a large choir - who are putting together a Christmas album with a well known singer - it’s very strange to hear carols at this time of year too (intermingled with their rehearsals and recordings for the Grand Final entertainment - football songs and carols do not mix).
