Government cheese! That takes me back about 20 or so years. My mom made the best homemade mac ‘n’ cheese with that stuff. Yummy! ---

Ahh…this brings back the memories…govt. surplus food! My mother’s uncle would ocassionally get a caseof this stuff…peanut butter (in huge, 5 lb. cans), cheese, and that nasty canned pork! My question: since the taxpayers paid for this struff, why didn’t the gov just sell it off? Oh, and I also remember this guy getting enormous cans of LIMA BEANS! (blecchh) ---
