Government cheese! That takes me back about 20 or so years. My mom made the best homemade mac ‘n’ cheese with that stuff. Yummy!
Ahh…this brings back the memories…govt. surplus food! My mother’s uncle would ocassionally get a caseof this stuff…peanut butter (in huge, 5 lb. cans), cheese, and that nasty canned pork! My question: since the taxpayers paid for this struff, why didn’t the gov just sell it off? Oh, and I also remember this guy getting enormous cans of LIMA BEANS! (blecchh)
