I have to say, I am pretty blown away by the conclusion of this thread. **kidneyfailure** , due to earlier, more intemperate posts of yours I formed an opinion of you and your attitudes that have been reversed by continued reading. I just came in here to say that I have spent 10+ years traveling in Asia, have many Chinese friends, who regularly travel to China on business and their experiences seem to align much more with **Even Sven’s** experiences than **China Guy** and **KidneyFailure**. In my experience, anyone who tries to tell you that there _isn’t_ racism in China is the one wearing the blinders. As for, ‘it’s not really racism, like in other parts of the world, it’s not meant maliciously’, that’s just bullshit, in my opinion. That said, everyone has an opinion, blah, blah, takes all kinds to make a world, blah, blah. I am glad that **Even Sven** is willing to speak honestly of her own experiences and isn’t being silenced by these other, self proclaimed, experts. You keep it up **Even Sven**! ---

I withdraw my earlier comments. I can’t make excuses for my earlier comments or behavior towards **even sven** in this and other threads. I guess all I can say is that when you get a guy who is passionate about something, is also a loudmouth, and is pretty stubborn, you get a guy like me who does get a bit “rabid” in his defense of something he feels is important to him. I know that’s not right, but I hope it’s at least understandable. Also, this thread gave me a bit more insight into the type of treatment **even sven** gets, both on the board and IRL, which helped me have some more sympathy for her and her situation. I’ll try to be more understanding and sensitive in the future. ---
