# You know what's frustrating? How singlehood is demonized.

Huh. It makes me sad to hear that singles often feel demonized, I thought we’d “come a long way, baby”.

It could be that some of your girlfriends are ambivalent about their own circumstances and looking for validation that THEY have made the right choice (i.e., misery loves company). Women are like that sometimes - you should hear how new moms carry on about breastfeeding v. formula, slinging v. strollers, etc. ~ it’s amazing how threatened we are by diversity.
