My mum did that to me. We were driving along silently and she was obviously stewing about something from her university class she had just attended. Then she acusingly looked at me in the rear view mirror and yelled “Do YOU think men should be paid more than women??!!” I thought - (Oh! So that’s what has her churning…) “Yes.” I said. Screeech. “GET OUT!” ---

My Mom did this to me when I was a teenager I don’t remember exactly what age, we were arguing and still miles from home and she told me to get out, I did and she drove away. That was a shitty walk home indeed and it was at night but we lived in the suburbs in a safe area and I’m a guy so there wasn’t really a danger in her mind I guess. I don’t hold any ill will about it, but its not something I would ever do to my kids. ---

I don’t know. We’re just taking guesses based on few facts, but the brat was throwing rocks at people and cars, his parents kick him out of the car and instead of crying or being scared he says “screw you” and heads off to the woods for more adventures. When returned to his parents he just nods. He sounds like a handful. Maybe a psychiatrist needs to evaluate the kid. Parents too maybe it’s a family dynamics thing, but I’d have a look at the kid. Does he throw rocks at animals too? Does he seem to be developing normally, emotionally? Kids can seem like little psychopaths sometimes and they grow out of it. Sometimes years later when they’re in prison we look back and say the signs were there. ---

Of the billions of kids being raised by armature parents on this world and here we have a few who say they “would never…” = Bawahahaha And people wonder why so many young people have no idea of consequences of their actions or that not everybody is so enamored of their existence as their parents were, and on and on… How do you teach your special snowflake that there is evil and danger out there and being “right” in no way guarantees you anything ??? If you are not old enough to really be ready to decide to die on that hill, or not strong enough or not smart enough when authority, strength, or what ever tells you to stop doing something, might be good to learn early to not do that. Teaching a child that no matter what they do, they are safe from any really danger or retaliation. ( even from you ) I apparently do not have enough of the ‘human life is sanctified above all else’ as do some of you. So I vote that not all parents who do things like this can be lumped into the same group that anytime it is wrong no matter what group as most of you are doing. YMMV ---

Once you pull the “abandon you in a wooded forest for a week without food or shelter” card, I’m not sure what else you can do in the future that the kid doesn’t respond with, “what are you going to do, abandon me in a wooded forest with no food or shelter?” ---

So you have a seven-year-old with some severe psychological issues, what’s the best way to deal with it? A.) Take kid to a professional B.)
