# You know who your real friends are when ...

Regardless of the gender if one friend is broke and other friend still wants to be with their friend, pay most of the expenses in the course of enjoying entertainment or just to help out, etc., WITHOUT expecting to get anything back (like sex), that person is a real friend.

There’s a joke that goes, “A friend will help you move. A real friend will help you move a body.”

I have complete confidence that in the extremely unlikely circumstance that I ever needed to move a body, I could call my best friend L.L. at 3 in the morning and say, “I need to come over with a pick-up truck, some tarp, and a shovel,” and she’d be there in half an hour.
