As for gifts, if not a card, how about an assortment of small kitchen items? Those can add up. Measuring cups and spoons, cake pans, baking sheets, a couple of mixing bowls, and so on. A GOOD cast iron skillet. Big bag of paper towels, and disposable tableware. They may not want to bother washing dishes for a while. ---
