I have to concur that the Muppets version of that tune was the best. Right up there with Manama for tunes that stick in your brain. ---

Aw, I’m gonna miss ol’ Harry. Pal of John Lennon, he also wrote the theme to _The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, Everybody’s Talkin_ from _Midnight Cowboy_ and _Me And My Arrow_. His stuff was covered by the Yardbirds, Blood, Sweat and Tears, The Turtles, Three Dog Night and Badfinger. Nilsson Schmilsson was completely enjoyable, not so much because of _Coconut_ but more so for _Jump Into The Fire_. I had no idea he was dead. Big bummer. ---

[hijack] Sorry, **lieu** , Harry didn’t write “Everybody’s Talkin’” - that honor goes to Fred Neil. And Badfinger didn’t cover him, he covered them - it was their “Without You” that went to #1 worldwide. I’ve got all of his recordings, and four years ago, my wife and I went to Harryfest in Los Angeles. People from all over the world who loved Harry enough to travel to LA gathered there. We went to the defunct RCA studios where he recorded, met engineers, producers and actors who worked with him, had a great get-together at the home of his son, Zak… it was a magical kind of vacation that can never happen again. Wasn’t this song used as the theme for a very short-lived medical sitcom, I’m thinking sometime in the 70’s? Can’t dredge up the title, but Matt Frewer (Freuer? something like that) played on of the lead doctors. ---

You’re thinking of a short lived but hilarious (IMHO) sticom called _Doctor Doctor_, but I believe the theme was the “doctor doctor, give me the news” riff. As for all of you who have the coconuts burning a hole in your brain, be thankful you weren’t raising kids when Shari Lewis and Lambchop were on PBS singing _This is the song that never ends Yes it goes on and on my friend…_ ---
