I have a low tolerance for stuff getting smeared on the side of my face, so I cut my sandwiches in half so that I can take bites from the small side. Likewise, I cut apples into pieces before eating them. ---

I cut all sandwiches diagonally. When you have copious facial hair, things just eat neater that way. ---

If it’s meat with gloppy other ingredients and I don’t cut it in half, the good stuff will squirt out the other end after I take a bite. I like to pace myself with a little meat in every single bite. Cutting it in half makes it more manageable. ---

I don’t, cuz I don’t want to get a knife dirty. I’ll cut a grilled cheese so that it cools more quickly, but I use the spatula. ---

Yes, because they’re awkward to handle otherwise. (And my hands are far from delicate. I CAN hold an uncut sandwich onehanded, if I need to, it’s just harder to maneuver.) ---

I went to a fancy restaurant that offered a plate of eight mini grilled cheese sandwiches and I’m like, “that’s just one sandwich cut into eight pieces!” Of course I think I’m a genius. Just don’t call it a sando. There’s no O in sandwich. ---

Wow. So many enemies against the crust. Why the hate? The crust is like your annoying friend that it would seem you have no real use for but nonetheless keeps the group together. Take out the crust and what have you got? [_in whispered voice_] Nothing. ---

I don’t cut my sandwiches. (Except, I suppose, for subs that would otherwise be awkwardly large.) I’ve never seen a reason to bother. The crust gives it enough structural integrity to hold together in my not-so-dainty hands. ---

I don’t cut my sandwiches, and have never noticed any difficulty handling it or getting my face smeared. Not related to why I don’t cut sandwiches, but it seems like something you do for a little kid. I don’t drink out of a sippy cup to avoid splashing, either. heh. ---
