Last ride I took on Amtrak (Northeast regional), my _conductor_ smelled like ass. Not a vagrant looking bum, just a very tall BigFatGuyā„¢. Reasonably clean uniform, friendly line of jive patter, etc., but _the man smelled like ass._ All I can figure is it must be part of Amtrakā€™s federal mandate to decrease ridership to the point where the road can be cut out of the budget. ---

He might have been forced to use the tiny toilet on board, and been unable to properly wipe due to space constraints. No excuse, but that could be why. I dread the day when I have to shit in an airplane toilet. Iā€™ll probably break somethingā€¦ ---

Iā€™ve done my share of meeting with foul smelling people in 4x5 rooms, so I offer you my most sincere sympathy, and applaud you for keeping up the good work despite grossly unacceptable working conditions. ---

I have a friend who showers every day, washes his hair and clothes, and brushes his teeth. He still smells like fresh shit all of the time (unless playing sports, then he just smells musky). I think itā€™s his shoes or coat. ---

I had a suite mate in college that didnā€™t really believe in bathing. After a hard game of basketball, heā€™d come back to the suite, wash his nuts, under his arms, his face, and neckā€¦ all in the bathroom sink, and throw on a fresh set of clothes. Needless to say, we didnā€™t stay suite mates for long! I think it took more time to ā€œcleanā€ himself that way instead of jumping in the shower.
