A charter fishing boat in a lake in southwest Louisianna spotted this new born, [albino dolphin](http://calcasieucharters.com/index.cfm?act=imagegallery.cfm?name=Rare+Pink+Dolphin+Photo+Gallery). Because the white skin is translucent, and it hasn’t put on a layer of blubber yet, its surface vasculature is visible, making it pink! ---

What’s in the water - bleach? Baby dolphin **is** very cute. 😃 For the record, I grew up in Louisiana, so I can mock it all I want. ---

It likely won’t live long. It is subject to sunburn, plus, it’s a glowing, pink target for predators. ☹ ---

How interesting! It does seem like an albino would be at a major disadvantage in the wild, but hopefully its pod will be able to protect it from predators. 🙂 ---
