Actually, it was on lower Cedar Springs, near Oak Lawn. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a strip club, but considering the area it could have been ‘most anything else.
For those of you familiar with “Big D” (Dallas), this is in a n older section of town dominated by some really great restaurants (not chains), nightclubs, artists studios, etc. It’s also generally considered the gayest part of town, which in itself makes it pretty cool IMO. I find that I generally like most gay persons, just not in “that way” (Not that there’s anything wrong with that [/Seinfeld]). So they could have been raising money for AIDS research or the battered womwn’s shelter or the new SPCA building or a kegger at the frat house. I’m just sure it wasn’t for their kids’ band/choir/soccer club/cheerleader squad.
