Nobody got me a Calendar for Christmas this year (A common gift - they don’t have to know what size you are. Their choice of subject, though, shows what _they_ think _you_ are interested in), so I went out and bought two last night. One for the desk and one for the wall. I got the Dave Barry desk calendar, 'cause I like his stuff. I debated about the wall calendar, but settled on the M.C.Escher. It’s nerdy, I know, but niot as nerdy as some of the choices I could’ve gone with. And it was what was left. And it was 50% off. And I’ve never had one before. What’s on _your_ wall or desk? ---

I should be getting my firefighter calendar soon. (Hubby isn’t in it, he says he’s month #14) I made my own for bill and such. I know, boring. ---

This might be the first year that I have just one calendar anywhere: at work I have a big At-A-Glance calendar that shows the whole year. It’s the same style of calendar I’ve used at work for the past few years, and I really like it. There’s just something useful about being able to see the entire year at once, especially when planning projects. I don’t have a wall/desktop calendar at home yet, and for the first time in my adult life I probably won’t get one: I had a small, plain one last year, and actually forgot to change the month once or twice. I think I’ve finally mentally adjusted to relying on the calendars that are part of the wallpaper on both of my computers, and the calendar I use for all of my appointments is in my PDA. I did, however, buy a calendar for someone else: I got my mother a 2006 [Weird N.J.](http://www.weirdnj.com/store/product.php?productid=34&cat=250&page=1) calendar, because she’s from Jersey and loves that website. 🙂 ---

One of my friends got me _4_ calenders this year : Legolas, LOTR , Gordon Setters , and Orlando Bloom. Another friend got me _2_ , both horses. Some of the ugliest horses I have ever seen. :dubious: And I had already bought myself 2 calenders, Gordon Setter and Papillons. The Gordon Setter iss the same bought by friend #1. I actually plan on rotating them, whichever one has the best pic for the month will be displayed. I don’t have that many rooms in my house. I have , at this time, Orlando in the kitchen, Papillons at my desk, and Gordons in my dog room. ---

I am using the one sent to me by Lean Cuisine, as I think the paralyzed vets gave up on me (tough year, didn’t donate). I’ll only buy myself a calendar if I don’t get one for free. Wow, I sound like a broke cheap-ass. ---

I got a Dilbert Calendar. A miricle really, since the woman who bought it for me went in and asked for a Gilbert Calendar. I also got the Worst Case Scenario calendar. I dunno why though, I guess it must have been on sale. ---

I got The Simpsons wall calender as a gift from my parents. I also have a wall calender at work that was sent to me by some medical company. ---

I have 5. A Weird NJ one. Right now the happy face of Tilly is smiling brightly at me. 🙂 One from a vendor that has images of animals around various wineries and vineyards. A 3 month from a vendor, pretty plain, but very useful. One from work, with images of vineyards and wineries the company owns. And a desk pad calendar with images of different cityscapes/skylines. ---

Everyone at work got one in the junk mail the bank passes out. That’s the only calendar I have. It’s not too bad, though. Shows the whole year at a glance. The only issue I have will be toward the end of the year. According to the calendar, the day following Thursday, November 30 looks to be Saturday, December 1. Will I still get paid for that missing Friday? ---

I have one that some company sent me. I can’t tell you which company because I cut that part of the calendar off and threw it away. 🙂 Anyway, it has very pretty pictures of American scenery and a recipe to go with each month. January is Tillamook County, Oregon, and “Hobo Pockets”. ---

I finally got my free calendar from Greater Lafayette Health Services in my mailbox today, and just put the calendar up a minute ago. It had been rolled up, so I needed to flatten it before I could attach it to my wall. The January scene is titled _Bicycle Bridge in Highland Park by JoAnn K. Darling_ and is a photograph apparently taken in a previous winter, as snow and bare-limbed trees are evident in the scene. ---

My work calendar is one of those plain b&w desk blotter calendars. The kind that gets scribbled & doodled on & acquires coffee rings & generally looks dirty before the end of the month. Ugh. At home, I’m using one that was gifted to me for my birthday by a coworker - it has “humorous” cartoons of cats. Not really my taste, although I am a cat (& dog) lover. But it does the job. I lean toward tropical scenery when I buy my own. Wishful thinking and all that. 🆒 ---

This year, I decided to grab a Futurama wall calendar and a “Brain Puzzlers” daily calendar. This is to replace the Dodgers’ desk calendar and retro bowling themed wall calendar from last year. Oh, and I just wanted to tell **CalMeacham** what a great idea starting this thread was! :o ---
