My five least favorite major hit sitcoms, given unsolicitedly: Everybody Loves Raymond (can’t stand Romano), The Cosby Show (way too perfect), Full House (I’d send them all to reeducation camps in Alaska), The Honeymooners (too depressing, and I’ve seen 8th grade shows with better sets) and tied for last place: Andy Griffith Show post-Barney (got too syrupy and slow) or Designing Women post-Suzanne (when Julia became a horror and the title could have been changed to The Bloodworth Thomason Social Commentary Show).
Aw, now you’ve gone and opened a new can of worms here. (Perhaps a new thread should be started so as not to hijack this one?) But I’ll join in on the worst sitcoms as well (using so-called “hits” as a basis, not short-lived sitcoms).

This is not slamming your tastes, but why are you preferring the American version over the British? I thought it was all about the original cast.
INPO: Fawlty Towers, The Bob Newhart Show, Taxi, Frasier, Night Court. Honorable Mention: Wings. (I met Rebecca Schull years ago at a party. Total sweetheart.)

I love That '70s Show. Does get any serious airtime over here, though.
