Happy with all of those I’m familiar with, but widening the pool a bit for consideration: - Bee Gees [Australia] for their contribution to disco - Bob Marley and the Wailers [Jamaica] - turned reggae from a regional to a global style - Sergio Mendes and Brazil 66 [Brazil] - ditto Bossa nova - Ladysmith Black Mambazo [South Africa] - introduced the west to African music - The Scientists [Australia] - for a particular no-frills subset of grunge ---
