Would our age change (numerically that is) if we were on other planets or is it still based on overall biological state. Like saying I am 35 earth years, would that change on Jupiter or Mars?

Because of the time dilation effects of gravity, you would physically age more slowly on Jupiter and more quickly on Mars. But you would be the same numerical age if you were measuring it by number of Earth trips around the sun.

By an infinitesimal amount.

What are you actually asking here? Are you asking about the longer length of an orbit around the sun on Jupiter for instance? It takes almost 12 Earth years for Jupiter to orbit the sun. Assuming you could live on Jupiter you would age almost 12 Earth for every Jovian year. Except for the infinitesimal difference mentioned above you would age the same way.

What do you mean about an overall biological state? What relationship to chronological age are you talking about?

No. Time passes, regardless of what planet you happen to be standing on.

Your 35 Earth years would be 18 Mars years and 2.8 Jupiter years, but you’d be the same age.

I you are 5 Jovian years old, you will still have gray hair and wrinkles.

It’s like measuring in feet versus metres. Different measuring sticks, but you are measuring the same thing.

The cold temperatures would act as sort of a natural preservative, keeping the kids young. But I agree, finding daycare would be a daunting task.

This is a plot point in Heinlein’s _Podkane of Mars_: The main character’s little brother is 7, and becoming really obnoxious. That’s seven Mars years, or 11 Earth years; the kid is a tween by Earth reckoning, so of course he is obnoxious.

OP: On Mercury you would be old enough to vote before you graduated kindergarten. On Pluto you’d have left a dozen generations behind before your first birthday. Assuming adequate life-systems, of course. Otherwise, RIP.

A paradox,
That most ingenious paradox!
We’ve quips and quibbles heard in flocks,
But none to beat that paradox!

I’m not sure what you’re asking… while I may be 47 on Earth, 25 in Mars years and 76 in Venusian years, I’m still the same “age”. If you like, think of it as an age measured by a time increment not defined by astronomical bodies. So… I’m also 48,721,349,836,800
oscillations of a quartz crystal(32768 hz) as used in your average watch or clock. That’s independent of how many Earth years, Venusian zarks, or whatever.

So things are still going to happen to you at the same “time” regardless of where you live- your eyes will start showing presbyopia around 41,363,177,472,000 oscillations for example. (40 earth years).

On Pluto, I’d be 6 1/2 Plutonian years old. LOL

No, that can’t be right, can it?

No, I’d be 1 1/2 MONTHS old.
