I was 17 when I joined, and 18 when I started regularly posting (I’d lurked on the AOL boards from about age 15 or so, but I don’t think I ever posted, so I’m not going to count it). I’m 29 now. ---

I joined when I was 22. I’ll be 34 in a couple months. Interesting to see that the 20-somethings are dominating. However I am guessing that becoming a member of a message board was more commonplace for people in their 20s 10+ years ago than it is now, because of how social media works now. ---

So far, it looks like roughly half join before age 30, but there’s a lot of other forums where roughly half join before age 20 and/or there’s hardly anyone over age 50. ---
