Your best home remedy for warts

I’ve always heard that the point of the treatments is to keep the air away from it - ie, don’t let it air out. I’ve known people who kept it covered with duct tape, clear nail polish, Compound W, etc., and the key was to keep it sealed off completely until the wart is gone.

I had success with the duct tape method, but I had one resistant wart. I finally took a toe nail clipper. It bled a bit but it healed nicely, no scar

I got mine charmed off by a witcher woman. I’d been picking at it for years (it was on the edge of my little finger.) One time I gnawed it all the way off, but it came back. A lady that my family knew, (she wasn’t crazy but was known to have powers) rubbed a circle around it with her finger & mumbled some words. It disappeared & never came back.

I got rid of mine by putting plain vinegar on a bandaid and left it as long as I could stand. It does hurt some, and the wart will turn black which i scraped off to get all of it off, with vinegar.

I tried duct tape and nail polish, both of which did nothing for me, and the tape always wound up stuck to my pants after a while and not the wart.

There does seem to be a strong “power of suggestion” effect when getting rid of warts - I have no idea why!

I do know that when my daughter started sprouting warts - as in 3 or so on each hand in less than a year - I took her to the pediatrician. They used the spray freezing stuff on 3 of them. Didn’t do the rest because the poor kid was finding it pretty painful.

Those 3 went away.

As did the other 3.

As did one I’d just recently developed.

I guess I can understand why my daughter’s untreated warts went away - if the insult to the 3 that were frozen was sufficient to trigger some sort of immune system response, it would have attacked all of them. But I do NOT understand why MINE went away :).

Just use a scalpel. Or an exacto knife; same idea. Once the big hunks are gone & you’ve got some fresh blood in it, what’s left will heal up in no time.

Recently I taped a piece of banana skin to it - skin side out. Kept replacing it, keeping it covered for some days, at one point I could feel a drawing sensation going on. Wart disappeared.

As a kid I had one, we wrestled a dead mouse off the cat, buried it, but the wart remained and my mum ended up using some wart remover.

Good Lord, people, honestly the duct tape will work. Just keep it covered, change the tape every few days, one day, when the tape comes off, the wart will too. It could not be simpler.

I’m begging you to try it before resorting to home surgery. You can google it, really.

I have no remedy myself but in order to help with the process of elimination I think you should rule out using a shotgun

For planters warts, wart stick and duct tape until they’re gone. In between tapings, file it down with an emery board, then more wart stick and retape.

Works miracles.
