I have a stuffed Snoopy that I got when I was three, and an old-fashioned looking black and white teddy bear that I don’t even remember getting - I suspect I got him when I was a baby. I’m 44 - my 41 year old Snoopy is kind of thread-bare (and missing his flying goggles and original nose and eyes), but he doesn’t look **too** bad.

I had a little cloth doll named Suzy. She was my best friend and I held her until I was embarrassingly old. I lost her at some point in my teen years only to see her in my best friend’s little girl’s toy chest, half torn to bits. Poor Suzy.

I had a Cabbage Patch doll. They came with names. Mine was named Eldric, I believe, but I changed it to Eric. My brother had a redheaded one named Mickey. Two boys and their dolls.

I had a HUGE stuffed lying down tiger named Stripes. She was beautiful! I spent many hours using her as a pillow to watch TV and in bed, I always felt so safe when I was with Stripes. I don’t remember what happened to her; I suspect my mom tossed her. Sure wish I still had her tho. ☹

I had (and still have) a small grey bear called Salty, so named because he was wearing a peaked sailor hat. He was more of an overseer bear, looking after me from a distance rather than sleeping in the bed. He’s now in the cabinet of classy stuff in my flat.

I vaguely remember having an owl, and I think I wore the washing label off by stroking it so my mum replaced it. That might be a false memory, though.

I had a stuffed orca, who was called Orca. He was smallish and a bit ragged, but always much-loved. I lost him in transit between my mom and dad’s house when I was 8. My dad ‘found’ him, i.e. got a new one, and though I knew it wasn’t the real Orca I pretended that it was.

For my birthday that year I also got a massive stuffed orca, called Willy (after the Free one), but for some reason I thought that he was a bit of a bully. Maybe because he was bigger than all my other toys?

Yes. And when I found out, my reactions were 😕:mad:😃

I had a plethora of animals as a kid, all with names, a few home-made, and they all protected me from the monsters under the bed (I even had a monster one who was a ‘defector’ and would tell us about the upcoming monster plans. Yes, I had a rich fantasy life.). My parents pretty much coerced me into giving them all up to my little cousin when he was born. I wasn’t pleased with the idea.
Currently, I have (sitting around my computer) a plush baby gryphon (from warcraft), a small blue bunny that says ‘somebody loves you!’ and makes mock carrot-crunching noises when squeezed, a penguin whose origins I cannot remember, a manatee named Hugh (so I can say ‘Oh, hugh the manatee!’ when I see him), and a bunny with a pancake on it’s head- made for me by a friend and her daughter (they even made a spare pancake… For whatever reason.)
