I have a 7 month old Labrador Retriever named Harvey (he is yellow). In my defense, I named him _before_ the hurricane and the Weinstein scandal. He was named in memory of Harvey Pekar. I’d like a do-over on the name, but the boy caught on quick to at least that. ---

Then the other two would go up and be just as friendly as ever, but our retiree would look the other way, like “Hey, what chair?-- I’m retired.” It was kinda funny. ---

We have a shih tzu/Maltese known as Magoo, after the cartoon character. Aka Goo, Googola, and Googie. He’s really smart and a little willful. ---

Zeus, St. Bernard with some Pyrenees, a rescue, was run over as a puppy, physically challenged and can’t walk for long distances. I will spoil him to the end. 10 year old 70 lb. Black lab/border collie mix named Banjo. I call him Pooter because he poots quite audibly. He’s got the looks of the collie and the stone head of the labrador. 10 year old 38 lb. Dorgi (corgi/long-haired doxie) named Mikey. He’s loving with me but aggressive to any dog bigger than himself. He once chased our neighbor’s 100 lb rotty, Bear, up on their couch and then ate all of the food in Bear’s dish. Cheeky little shit. ---

11 year old rescue Akita, “Kobi” like the beef~~He was 2 when rescued was a wilting 80 lbs. quickly got up to 150. I train Staffordshires, thinking they were the smartest of Dog’s but this Akita is amazing. Due to his size he is not long for this planet. He has brought me 9 years of joy & companionship. If I can figure out posting a pic I shall. He’s spectacular~ ---

One month after we lost our golden [Cooper](https://imgur.com/a/h3T5x) last summer, we lost Charlie the Wonder Dog. He’s behind Coop in the second picture. It was a shitty summer. I had sworn off owning another dog for at least a couple of years. Yeah right. About a month ago, my friend who fosters dogs came over with [Finn](https://imgur.com/BaCFjLl). We weren’t looking for a new dog, but an afternoon visit ended up lasting four days. Then he was ours and now we have a 2 year old Cattle Dog/Lab mix messing up our house and stealing our hearts. ---

Havanese named Ernie -appropriate on two levels: named after (Ernesto) Che Guevera, a Cuban historical figure and his black crazy head hair looks just like Bert and Ernie, with the squatness similar to Ernie Added: I got chewed out by a fellow vet visitor who said, “You have a Havanese named Ernie? I hope you didn’t name him after Che! One of the most horrible humans who ever lived.” To be honest the Che namesake is a bit of a joke, but the amazing leap by this angry guy was quite something. ---
