I got a 2nd power cord for home so I donât have to climb under the desk at work to unplug it every time. First-world problem solve! (I think it was only about $12, and work paid for it).

Good idea! I had a docking station in my office, but now weâll be moving to full-scale post-COVID âhotelingâ, so no more docking stations. It would be annoying to have to bring the power cord with me at all times.

Oh, I have an even more first-worldly problem.
I have a whole duck thawing in the fridge. Wanted to roast it today on my day off, but looking online, it appears I can prep it today but for max crispy skin, should hold off roasting till tomorrow.
When Iâll be at work.

I know thereâs a pandemic and a labor shortage, but Iâm really fân tired of not knowing what store hours are and therefore have to look them up and hope theyâre accurate to try to plan when a store might close at 10 or 9 or 8 or hell, letâs close at 6 on a Tuesday. There are places around here that are up to their 4th set of ânew hoursâ in the past 18 months.

I hear you on the hours. I like to have lunch out about once a week, and I check yelp and I check the restaurantâs website (if they have one), and still run into the issue of them having changed their hours but not their website. Iâm tired of arriving at a place to find locked doors and a paper note: âClosed Wednesdaysâ

I decided I wanted burritos for my work lunches this week. Lovely, vegetarian, and full of fresh ingredients.
But Iâm one person and burrito ingredients donât come in one-burrito sizes. So, in order to minimize waste and not let any of my stuff go bad, itâs burritos and burrito variants for lunch and dinner every day until I run out of, at least, beans and rice.
Iâm so sick of burritos and burrito variants. I feel like I work at Taco Bell. I have no idea what next weekâs lunch plans are, but I can tell you itâs definitely not fâing burritos.

I went to a Wendyâs for lunch yesterday and couldnât find the front door. When I got inside I found that the freestyle Coke machine was out of Coke syrup (and all variants) so I had to drink Sprite!

Ha. Last week at my shiny new full time job, the espresso machine decided to pull espresso just fine, but the steam wand was out of commission for most of the week. Being a fully automated machine, if something goes kerflooey, youâve got to call a service person to look at it and then reprogram it with cards. đ I made quite a few outstanding Americanos.
This week, everythingâs awesome- until our ordering app on the walkup kiosk is not working. Sheesh!
I came back to add on: Said espresso machine has a clock display on it. It was finally serviced on Friday, after hours but before DST- so now it is like many peoplesâ car. One hour ahead, I have no idea if the barista can reset it.

Our toaster broke this morning, so I tried to find a new one on Amazon. Every one I picked had a high rating, but the first few reviews would talk about how they broke immediately or set the kitchen on fire or something. So I picked the most basic one I could find, and read several glowing reviewsâŚuntil I got to the one about how great the touch screen was. And it was a âverified purchaserâ review!
What is Amazon even good for anymore?

I think I might have to replace my entire oven/microwave unit just because the microwave tray stopped rotating. I need my reheated food to be uniformally warm for me to enjoy it.

The most likely accurate place for hours of operation is Google. They are constantly asking me if my business hours have changed, and they make it easy for me to correct the info. Meanwhile, I do not bother with my webpage.

Certain websites, like ESPN+ or Disney+, send me a âsomeone has signed into your accountâ email _every single time I log in_. No option whatsoever to âsave this browserâ or opt out of the stupid emails, itâs just automatic every single time. Annoying as shit!

The shower gel I use, Duke Cannon, comes in a plastic squeeze bottle made of thick plastic. This makes it hard to squeeze with one hand. I guess I could get one of those grip exercisers to practice with.
