Chinchillas, but they can _barely_ fit in the palm of my hand. A baby kitten would be close too. ---

Pretty much any kind of butterfly. First runner-up would be a baby teacup poodle (even though I am on principle against breeding dogs down to hamster size). ---

Pomeranian puppies! I could hold a litter of four in my cupped hands with no spill over. I will go through my photos tomorrow to find a photo. Two of my pommies fully grown weigh 3 1/2 lbs, compared to my cats who weigh upwards to 20 lbs. ---

I can never pick just one favorite, so here is my Pantheon of the Palm: - nutibranchs - salamanders - lady bugs - moths - butterflies - dragonflies - humming birds - hermit crabs - kittens - hedge hogs - various Rodents of Usual Size - cone snails (though they fit in the palm of your hand, I would not ever recommend holding one there if you want to stay alive) ---
