My favorite Archie character is [“Cricket” O’Dell,](http://www.misterkitty.org/extras/stupidcovers/stupidcomics256.html) who appears to have wandered in from one of those Harvey comics where every character has a playful obsession. ---

I followed that link, Mavis. According to stories reprinted in the Digests, Cricket has appeared in Archie stories in more recent years. She still has the money-detecting talent but isn’t a wild freakish character any more. In fact, she sniffed out a pickpocket and an embezzler at a bank, as well as a museum thief who tried to sneak off with a fortune in rubies. ---
