Some great options. _Downfall_ is my top pick - an amazing portrayal of Hitler’s last days and the fall of Berlin. I wish more people knew of it other than for the (admittedly very funny) subtitled Hitler-rant scene. ---

I wish more people knew of it other than for the (admittedly very funny) subtitled Hitler-rant scene. Tell me about it! I’ve seen no telling how many ripoffs of it in one context or another – mostly football related. Funny but getting trite! It won’t bother me if anybody wants to link to some YouTube clip that is more egregious than [Hitler finds out about the Downfall Parodies](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSYk8ofhYFY) 🙂 ---

I flirted with We Were Soldiers. It’s got one of my favorite NCO characters in a movie (Sam Elliot underplaying the real CSM Plumley). It’s got the positive feeling by being based on an amazing book by Moore/Galloway. It just misses though IMO. Besides I needed to be the only voter for 9th Company. 😛 ---

Films I didn’t see on either 2000 list: WALTZ WITH BASHIR, BLACK BOOK, THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY. ---
