Another good crop o’ war films. _Zero Dark Thirty_ gets my top mark. I liked _The Imitation Game_ when I saw it, but it played so fast and loose with historical fact that it loses points here. ---

I nominated those, but I also clearly marked my post as including a few “joke” entries. That being said, those two films took the Braveheart template (which got [13 votes](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=758138)) and rubber stamped it onto new characters. Given the dubious historicity of Braveheart, I wouldn’t say that they’re all that much more fantastical. But they are just as much military movies as it is. Very peculiar movies to have made as military movies, but so it is. ---
