It gets like that. IRC is like that.

All channels seem to have those kinds of cycles.

I’m in lots of channels. #straightdope, #unix, #unmensa, #atheism and #atheist to name a few.

Most of the time just idling till the people I talk to are around. I just leave it on … people will leave messages when they come in at a different time than when I’m there.
