Put me down for Abe Laborial Jr. Probably best known for touring with Paul McCartney he can most likely not do Portnoy but he oozes feel and personality and is great to watch. ---

Lot of great drummers mentioned here. Want to mention two I don’t think have been posted here. Dave Clark - even just for Glad All Over and DJ Fontana (Elvis’ drummer) - Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, Hound Dog etc ---

Wankfest – but one hell of a good wankfest. Since they alternate using the same songs (some of which do stand up musically), it’s a terrific way to compare and contrast them. ---

Thanks for posting those links. I have been liking Spock’s Beard for a while\* but have never seen them play, not even a video. I didn’t know Nick sang or that they toured with another drummer. They are both MONSTERS! \*SB lead me to Transatlantic which led me to Flower Kings which led to Tangent. I had given up on prog since it seemed to go away in the 70’s. I’m still catching up. ---

Since I have the internal rhythm of an epileptic chimpanzee being electrocuted by ever changing AC, I have to ask those of you who can get your hands to even clap at the same beat: Whenever I hear these conversations, no one mentions Graham Edge of the Moody Blues. Is this out of people don’t know him or don’t think he’s that great. Like I mentioned earlier, I couldn’t tell a beatnik from a beat-down, so I’m not the best judge, but I always liked Graham’s stuff. ---
