T’was watching _SPECTRE_ with my far better half last night, and I got to thinking to myself, “_Self, I once considered a top-five list of favorite henchmen, but I totally forgot it. . ._” I know I’ve got two on my list, in order of their _henchy-ness_: 1. [Sven-Ole Thorsen](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sven-Ole_Thorsen), an old-school musclehead that’s been in a lot of Arnold Schwarzenneger flicks, was “Mr Haft” in _Sum of All Fears_ and the Soviet COB in _The Hunt for Red October_. 2. [Dave Bautista](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Bautista), a new-school musclehead, who was a sidekick in _Guardians of the Galaxy_, a nurse in _Hotel Artemis_, but henched it up in _SPECTRE_. 3. [Richard Kiel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Kiel) who was “Jaws” in _Moonraker_. 4. TBD. . . I’m looking for non-lead actors/actresses who do the henching for main villians. The Empire/First Orders’ Stormtroopers don’t count, because their sheer population and uselessness water down the henchability factor. Who’s some notable henchmen/henchwomen I’m missing? Tripler I gotta think about Westerns. . . some possible Ranch-henchers there, too. ---

I hadn’t considered him a henchman, because he seemed to be his own ‘independent operator’ at times. This reminds me that I need to watch _Better Call Saul._ @Kent_Clark, I need to start watching some older Bond, too. Tripler They’re both going on the list, though! ---

I first saw [Benicio del Toro](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benicio_del_Toro#Career) as a minor henchman. I have no idea what else was going on in the scene where I first noticed him, because he commanded all the attention. I even pointed him out, and said “I want to see him as a major villain sometime.” ---
