Lots of Tom Lehrer, Allen Sherman, and Weird Al tunes qualify. But I really like **The Elements Song** : [![](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/SmwlzwGMMwc/hqdefault.jpg "Elements by Tom Lehrer") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmwlzwGMMwc) His **New Math** is a close second [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/SXx2VVSWDMo/hqdefault.jpg "Tom Lehrer - New Math") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXx2VVSWDMo) ---

> [@Accidental\_Martyr](#): > > _Eugene_-Crazy Joe and The Variable Speed Band > I remember this song from when I was around twelve. Apparently it was actually Ace Frehley of KISS. I never knew there was a video until now. > [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeZlXJtLhMQ&nomobile=1](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeZlXJtLhMQ&nomobile=1) I remember this. I thought it was The Waitresses. Does anyone remember the song that was a reporter asking questions and the answers were song snippets? I think there may have been a series of them. Oh and how about Stars on 45? Oh, and [Shut uppa you face!](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFacWGBJ_cs) This post is an example of opening a thread, pressing quick reply, going to make a sandwich and then answering. Don’t do this. It makes you look dumb. ---

> [@Bosstone](#): > > [Title of the Song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=734wnHnnNR4) by DaVinci’s Notebook. Great satire of boy band pop music. I had to stop watching that because I was laughing so hard. It reminds me of [“The Song That Goes Like This”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Js-6Lx-SZso) from **Spamalot**. I could never pick a favorite, but one I always remember fondly is: [“Spliceway to Heaven”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abGlV58-dyM). ---

Wet Dream Fish Heads It’s been awhile since I listened to Dr Demento. A lot of Voltaire’s songs straddle the line between novelty and filling. 🙂 ---
