It did get some airplay in the US, but I don’t know if it was a bona fide hit here. ---

I’m not sure exactly what qualifies someone as a one-hit wonder, but I’m going to say Johnny Nash with his song ["I Can See Clearly Now](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Can_See_Clearly_Now). Although he did have a few other top 40 hits, only the aforementioned was a number one hit, and it was at the top of the US pop charts for for weeks in 1972. Might I also add that this was the first song I ever truly loved. All of nine years old I was, and I still remember how wonderful it was the hear that song on the radio.
