Your Favorite Trivia Stumpers

OK, the answer to my question:

How many people were with Moses in the ark?

Double trick question:

A person hearing “ark” assumes “Noah’s” ark and tries to remember his various family members.

No, I said “Moses’ ark.”

Oh, Moses. He didn’t have an ark.

Oh, yes he did!

Exodus 2:3 and 2:5.

The basket he was set adrift in was referred to as an “ark” in KJV.

(The Hebrew word for Moses’ ark and Noah’s ark approximates “tebah,” and it not connected with the Hebrew word for “ark” as in “Ark of the Covenant,” which just means "chest.)

There was a thread in GQ last fall sometime that goes into it a little more.

So the answer: No one was with Moses in the ark–he was alone.

All right. You stumped me (and apparently everyone else too). Answer your own question already, I’m going crazy here!

My favorite is Ayesha.

hey Gilligan - What was the skipper’s name?

Q: What was the name of the dog on the Brady Bunch?

A: Alice.

Oh sorry, wrong thread.

The dog on the Brady Bunch was Tiger, although Greg was no fox.

You are absolutely correct!

Who played the part of Charles Foster Kane in the film Citizen Kane?

And it’s not who you think.

And for you Castaway fans, the full names are:
Jonas Grumby Thurston Howell III Professor Roy Hinkley Ginger Grant Lovey Wentworth Howell Mary Ann Summers

Sherwood Schwartz has been engaging in a bit of revisionist history of late by claiming that Gilligan’s full name was Willy Gilligan. However, that name was never used in any Gilligan episode (pilot, primtime, cartoon, special, etc) ever presented.

Hey! What happened to my returns? Oh, well, you can sort them out.

Star Trek trivia:

What actor has played three roles in various ST productions:
[ul][li]each as a member of a different alien race[/li][li]has died as that character[/ul][/li]
Name the actor, the production in which he died, and the alien he portrayed.

Clues: one character was strictly from a TV production, one from a movie, and one that was in both TV and movie productions.

Wrong thinking is punished, right thinking is just as swiftly rewarded. You’ll find it an effective combination.

On the television show Magnum PI, what was Magnum’s first and middle name? Obviously his last name was Magnum.

Also, what did the initials T.C. stand for for his friend who flew the helicopter?

Mark Leonard:

Romulan commander in TOS episode “Balance of Terror”

Klingon commander in the the first movie

Sarek, Spock’s father and Vulcan ambassader to Earth/UFP in TOS episode “Journey to Babel,” in the third film The Search for Spok and later in two TNG episodes “Sarek” and “Unification Part I.”

Mark Leonard’s character dies in all but three of his appearances (The Search for Spock, “Journey to Babel” and “Sarek”).

Sad part: All from memory. I’m an aging treker sigh

Buddy Swan played the young C.F. Kane.

Coldfire: Good answer, but not the angle I was going for.

Once again, who played Charles Foster Kane?

Harry Steinfeldt-3rd baseman for “Tinkers-to-Evers-to Chance” who turned something like a measly 40 double plays in a year. They only became famous because of a song or poem done about them back in the day.
