> I always found that one a bit too schmaltzy. The two eps of So Called Life I didn’t like were the supernatural/ghosty/angel-y ones–that one, and the Halloween one with the ghost of the guy who is meant to be like Jordan Catalano.

I never found it that way – very emotionally real. And I always get chills at the line

How did you die?

I never watched the X-Files much, but their Christmas one was pretty fun.

The very first Simpsons Christmas ep was darn good. Marge is writing the Christmas card & bragging about what everyone has accomplished all year. She gets to Bart:

“…We think Maggie will say her first word any day now. And Bart? Well, we love Bart.”

> The best Christmas episode ever, as far as I’m concerned, is _Supernatural_’s “A Very Supernatural Christmas.” We get evil Santas kidnapping people, a drunken creepy Santa, a really abominable performance of “Silent Night”, a torture scene, stabbing the villains with Christmas tree branches, and finally, in the touching scene at the end, the heartwarming gift? Porn.

Thirded. LOL

I really liked the more recent Christmas ep, with the talking astrolabe.

Definitely Simpsons Roasting on An Open Fire. Not only a great episode by itself, but the start of something huge. Realy huge. Gigantic. Genormous. Something undescribable.
