I love his take on [Sorrow](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkfmPmaTnKg), too, but I had never seen the video before. It’s about the Bowiest thing ever recorded: the sultry model he’s crooning to isn’t even in his league, and he knows it. ---

I’ve got Cat People (Putting Out the Fire) on full blast now. My favorites depend on my mood. When I’m feeling alone and detached, it’s “Space Oddity”. When I’m in a dancing mood, it’s “Modern Love.” When humanity starts working my nerves, it’s “Five Years”. When I’m feeling rebellious, it’s “Rebel, Rebel.” When I imagine myself being in love, it’s “Moonage Daydream.” When I’m feeling nostalgic for the good ole days, it’s “Memory of a Free Festival.” All weekend I’ve been doing the spontaneous sobbing thing, just listening to these wonderful wonderful songs. ---
