I voted Mulan. Who cares if the’s a real princess or not. Although Calla would have gotten my vote if there’s been the option. And there are a disturbing number of furries in this thread. At least no-one’s rooting for Marian from _Robin Hood_. ---

I love Mulan. Belle is a close second. I am not ashamed to admit that the scene where she kneels before her father and tells him she has brought gifts from the emperor and he embraces her and says, “The greatest gift and honor is having you for a daughter”, makes me cry every time. If only my dad had treated me like that! _sniff_ ---

Oh, Belle works, she’s probably the reason why she and her father eat regularly. It’s just that when she has free time, she spends it reading, unlike the other girls in town who hang out at the local pub and moon over Gaston. ---

Mulan, no question about it. Smart, tough, funny, loyal, and HAWT! To answer a question asked above: Yes, Li Shang is also my favorite prince. He has an actual personality and motivations of his own, unlike most of them. Also, he has those mad martial arts skillz. Your typical Disney prince relies on 3rd party magic and/or shitass luck to defeat the big bad. ---

How come Kida from _Atlantis: The Lost Empire_ and Eilonwy from _The Black Cauldron_ didn’t make the role call? Unlike some of the others, they indisputably were princesses. ---
