James Dean, after seeing the original release of “Rebel without a Cause.” (I know - that makes me an old fart, but I’m NOT I tell you, I’m not!) I was absolutely crushed when I saw the newpaper reporting on his fatal auto accident. ---

I’m really feeling old in this thread. I was a precocious child, and I watched far too much television from an early age. The very first crushes I can remember are James Brolin as Dr. Steven Kiley on _Marcus Welby, M.D._ and Brian Keith as Uncle Bill on _Family Affair_. I was maybe three or four years old. ---

I’m almost embarassed to admit it, but… **Eartha Kitt** as Catwoman on the old _Batman_ TV series. She wasn’t drop-dead gorgeous, but she _dripped_ sensuality. I always thought Maryanne was hotter than Ginger on _Gilligan’s Island_. But there we’re getting into characters, not actresses. ---

Ahhh…for those innocent days of childhood, when Dwight Evans played for the Boston Red Sox. Maybe not a celebrity, but on TV: when I was 4 or 5 in the early 70s there was a little blonde girl named Emily on the children’s show **Zoom**. My heart went zoom too. Nothing further in the onscreen crush department until one of the Sagal sisters (yes, only one…Liz, I think) on **Double Trouble**.
