(Old) Your first furniture in the MMP

Start with corn that’s at room temp and remove as much silk as you can. There are several recipes on line, but what I did was melt butter and spread it on the corn, then put it in the fryer basket at 400° for about 15 minutes, shaking the basket occasionally to move the ears around. Actually, half-ears, because I find them easier to manage. Other recipes use olive oil or corn oil, and some have you salt and pepper the ears before you put them in.

Just a caution - allow time to cool - they hold heat pretty well.

If he brought it in, he’d have to share it. In the woods, it’s all his!! Idiot dog. FCD has just gone out with Otis to follow him into the woods in search of Bambi. (ETA - he found it - one leg is gone. And Otis is still out there, so I guess he’s having venison for breakfast. I guess that’s how he survived when he was running loose before Animal Control got him.)

My poor sweetie had a rough night so I’m not sure what today will hold. He ordered some special gummies in the hope that they might help him sleep - not sure when they’ll be delivered. I mostly sleep OK, if not long and undisturbed, but Mel does help. What doesn’t help is a stoopit earworm (theme song from The Greatest American Hero) If you clicked on the spoiler, it’s your own fault!!!

Chance of rain today and tonight, but the next 3 nights, we’re suppose to have mid-60s for lows, so I see windows being opening. Today starts overcast with 68 Ferrets, headed to upper 80s. So we’ll see what we see.

Happy Saturday!
