I remember Andrew Zimmern trying tiger penis soup, which is supposed to be an aphrodisiac in some cultures (and as one might imagine, nearly led to tigers being hunted to extinction in some areas). ---

When the butcher gets the fresh penis, he skins it, right? Then does he lay it open to remove the urethra? Because that doesn’t sound appetizing. And lastly, does he remove the business end like a fish head, or is that like a dark meat/ white meat kind of thing? ---

FWIW, the absolute worst recipe I ever made from the internet (and I’ve made a lot), I got from the SDMB. I think it could be a hard (sorry) dish to make well. Sounds like Calamari, and in my limited experience it’s either awesome or crap. ---
