# Your idea for a music video

I’ve been thinking about a music video of The Beach Boys’ _Sloop John B_, illustrated with scenes from _Rick & Morty_. It seems such a perfect fit, I’m surprised no one has done this already. But I haven’t been able to find anything.

My preliminary ideas:

_We come on the sloop John B_  
(Rick and Morty boarding Rick’s spaceship)

_My grandfather_  
(Close-up of Rick)

_and me_  
(Close-up of Morty)

_Around Nassau town we did roam_  
(Rick and Morty walking through an alien city)

_Drinkin’ all night_  
(Rick drinking, surrounded by empty bottles)

_Got into a fight_  
(Rick and Morty in a running battle with the Gromflomites, or similar scene)

_Well, I feel so broke up, I wanna go home_  
(Morty hunched over, holding his head in despair)

(I don’t yet have a good plan for the bridge: _So hoist up the John B’s sail…_ Still working on that.)

_The first mate, he got drunk_  
(It might be better if Morty were the “first mate”, but I don’t think there are any scenes of Morty getting drunk. So we’ll go with a scene of drunk Rick.)

_And broke in the captain’s trunk_  
(Not sure but there must be a scene of Rick opening a big box.)

_The constable had to come and take him away_  
(Rick getting arrested by the Transdimensional Council of Ricks)

_Sheriff John Stone_  
_Why don’t you leave me alone?_  
(Rick being interrogated by the Council)

_Well, I feel so broke up, I wanna go home_  
(Rick in prison)

What do you think? Do you have any unrealized ideas for music videos?

Not exactly a music video, but in the spirit of your OP, I’d like to see someone make a video of the opening theme from the 90s TV series _Ghostwriter_ overlaid with clips from the 2010 film _The Ghost Writer_.

A great show and a great song, but I don’t think they are even remotely related. Sounds like something Futurama would do, but they’d have a bumper sticker on the Planet Express with “John B” or something as well.
