While I like them on the same level (getting older) If they are in your bedroom, aren’t they kinda noisy if you need to do a load at night?
Actually, they’re not very noisy. We typically don’t run them when we go to sleep, but sometimes we do (especially the dryer) and it hasn’t been a problem. They’re at the far end of the “suite” so not right on top of us. I can’t overemphasize how convenient it is to do the laundry in the same vicinity as where we take off our clothes and where we put them away when clean. We never have a back log of laundry to do.
Being retired, with an office each for my wife and me, I can assure you that this is an excellent plan.
