I would imagine that the NBC website will have pics from the events, you may want to look there, which should be very safe for work. ---

I don’t think it lets you link directly, but go to [nbcolympics.com](http://nbcolympics.com), select Curling from the Sports menu, click on “photos”, select the “Day 7 - Images from Women’s Curling” album, and look at photo 16 of 23. I’ve spent way too much time on this now. ---

I’m watching the skeleton…dunno whether I like that better than luge or not. I wanna see snowboarders go down that track, crouched & tucked like skateboard racers. In a past life I used to do some wicked fast downhill skateboarding, but on a wide street where I could slow down if i wanted to. ---

Every time I go snowboarding, it’s quite noticeably a more attractive crowd. Also, a lot of our ideals of beauty are northern European. There’s a huge number of blonde athletes. And let’s face it, you ain’t going to be a world class female ice skater without being extremely attractive (yeah, I know there are exceptions) because you’re less likely to pick up a coach. ---

Boy I can’t believe how good dual sport athlete [John Daly](http://www.nbcolympics.com/athletes/athlete=2533/index.html) looks. As a recreational cross-country skiier\*, I’m glad that NBC had non trivial coverage of it today. But I have to admit that it isn’t the most exciting sport to watch. I also wonder about people like Bill Demong, who made up a minute deficit in nordic combined. How would he do in a pure XC event? I know specialist will typically do better than multi-sport atheltes. Brian \*did quite a bit whaen I was younger, just getting back into it ---

I think I watched every minute of all of their matches, most of them losses. Too bad they couldn’t curl for shit, but oh well. I think the US should maintain a policy of assembling curling teams of hot chicks regardless of ability. HURRY HARD!!! Oh yeah… ---

Ok, I will be the one to say it. How is it that team number one for the US men’s bobsled is fat guy and fatter guy? This is not standard for the rest of the competition, there are skinny athletic guys and then two guys who look like they wandered over from the pub to jump into the sled because it looked like fun. Ok, I looked it up, Steven Holcomb 5’11 231. Inspiration to portly guys everywhere.
