Three pet torture/mutilations over a one year period does not constitute a “rash”, especially considering the number of soccer players these days. Please try to display a little control in future posts.😛 ---

Someone on the job once threw something at me for me to catch, and when it bounced off my head, he laughed at me. When I told him that I’m not athletic, he told me that’s not an excuse. When my livelihood depends on me being to catch a projectile, then I will devote time and energy to learning this skill. But until then, I’m going to keep on being “non-athletic”. ---

Just to add my two cents here… (as someone approaching 40) I played enough sports as a kid that I was as good as the next guy at catching things. My vision went to hell in my late teens and early twenties so that now I have virtually no depth perception and that is a big problem now. Still, if we’re playing ball today, I can catch with the best of them. However, at no point would I have been much good at catching keys, pens or cell phones thrown to me with no warning. I need the expectation of catching to already be in place if I’m going to make the decisions fast enough to make the catch. I just don’t expect random objects to be flying through the air at me.
