LF James Bond novel would be _The Man with the Golden Gun_. Fleming wrote it, but died before it was fully edited. The publisher published it anyway. Consequently, it reads like a first draft. Least favorite time of day? ---

I had one like that, and my dog responded great to it. Then I lost it. I got a replacement, and it was totally silent. Sometimes the dog responded, sometimes she glanced at me, but didn’t really respond, and sometimes she totally blew me off. Since I had no idea whether the whistle had produced a sound or not, I didn’t know whether she was actually blowing me off, or the whistle was a piece of crap. I threw it out and looked all over for the kind I’d had before, and finally found one. It saved my voice from yelling her name when she was on the other side of the dog park, or off leash in the woods, and had wandered a little to far. LF thing you had to teach your dog, either to do, or not to do, that you hadn’t expected (in other words, not housebreaking). ---
