Smithsonian was very disappointing. I spent about ten minutes in there, and it was so crowded and chaotic, I didn’t see any point in trying to find anything interesting. LF element on the periodic table. ---

Whoever broke a priceless Devonian fossil clean off its outcrop in Creature from the Black Lagoon. I think his name was Carl Maia. I saw that movie in an auditorium full of Geologists. The collective shudder could be felt down the hall. LF film that is an acknowledged classic (_Citizen Kane, Vertigo, The Godfather_, etc.) ---

_Hurricane Bianca_. My daughter has become a fan of drag queens, and when she saw this one on Netflix, she just _had_ to screen it. We finished it out of sheer stubbornness, but halfway through, even she agreed that it was horrible. Least favorite noir film.
